| Bio: | (Updated 8/15/2007) I finally got my own web page on the 'net. I had them before but these allow me to use aspx's and databases. I always think I should do more but like what I have done. We got two rats in 2005! They are so cute! I wish I knew what they were thinking some days so we could give them whatever they wanted. Ah, well. I need more time to spend it with them! Then we got eight more rats in 2006, although three of them have since died. (Lena 3/10, Lily 3/24, Greta 7/5) That leaves us with seven little cutties. We probably don't spend enough time with them but we do what we can. It is amazing to see their personalities at work! We have since lost Beauty (3/12) and Bella (6/30), my first rats. :( I am still sad at times. The other five are doing well to comfort me. I am still working at Data Builder as a C#/.NET programmer and enjoying it immensely. My boss is great and the co-workers are a lot of fun. We have a monkey theme going on between me and my co-worker and have lots of stuffed monkeys around our cubes. Lots of fun. As for what I do, I work as a programmer. Currently, that means web pages and windows applications. I work with .NET and the difference between those two is not as big as it used to be. I have really enjoyed working with .NET. I don't consider myself a Microsoft junkie but I think they have a really great set of tools to use in programming. I am also creating installs and helping out where needed. I love games. All kinds of games! While I like RPGs a lot, and am involved in an Alternity game once a week. It is set in the Forgotten Realms, a DND world, but I use the Alternity Rules. I am having so much fun with it! I must be a White Wolf fair weather friend only because now that I am not playing WoD, I don't go to their site as often as I did. I would like to play the game but there is only so much time. (10/2 - I barely had to change this. In fact, it wasn't true for a while, I wasn't playing Alternity using FR, but it is again! Funny how things come around.) I am a History buff, mostly because of the Fantasy RPGs I play. I especially love Roman history. The US is the next Roman Republic. I love Medieval history as well. I don't know that we are all that different from people of a thousand years ago. I am glad I am living now, though, compared to a thousand years ago for many reasons! I have been watching the HBO series Rome and it has been quite good! I really like it! I have been reading a lot of DND novels, RPG books, comics and graphic novels. I have been enjoying them all! I am behind in several categories. Is there a place where I can buy some time? I have really enjoyed LJ, both in my own writings and the people I have "met" through LJ. I am glad that I can read about other people! I have really come to enjoy it and look forward to all entries of my LJ friends! 2007 hasn't been stress free but for completely different reasons.
